Carminuccio’s opened in 1997 with the idea from owner Eddie Martino; Newtown needed to be blessed with some great New Haven style pizza. With the help and expertise of former partner Carmine Gangone; originally from the Old Country, Martino’s dream became a reality.
Carminuccio’s quickly became a favorite pizza spot in upper Fairfield County. Carminuccio’s has been honored to be featured in an abundance of articles, and books; from Parade magazine, New York Magazine, Splendid Table, Roadfood.com, The Fairfield Advocate, Ct Post, Pizza Today Magazine, 500 things you must eat before it’s too late, and several other publications.
